“Logging in”
- Click dropdown arrow next to “select username”
- Select username
- Click continue
- Click on 4-day window box on bottom left
4 Day Window
- Shows all firm orders within 4-day window
- Can search by plan, order, width, gauge, location in “filter” window
- Can filter by plan using the “all assigned plans” dropdown under “purchase plan”
- Can enter 4 day worklist by clicking on “4 day worklist” next to blue pill in top left corner. 4 day worklist is an alternate view, with orders grouped by plan.
- To see GBT’s results for an individual order click on “optimize release”
Firm Window Worklist
- This groups all orders by plan
- Tries to solve all orders within plan rather than a specific order
- Your plans will be highlighted blue
- Click on “open dashboard” to see GBT’s results
- Click on “plan ___” to rerun plan
- Click on “your plan” to drop window and see what orders are in 4 day window
- IF: a plan needs attention for “violations” click on plan to run it. Review violations and adjust chart as needed. Violations will be ODs, aged material (see if there are any more)
Dashboard Layout
- After clicking on open dashboard you are brought to this screen
- On the left side of the screen are the options GBT produced
- Batch members are on top, but might not be the best option (Batch: Multiple coils used to complete one release)
- Options are then ranked by a combination of $/wgt, % of firm releases covered, OD exceptions, how long sidecuts will age
- To view an option click on it.
- You can build from scratch “BFS” or select a specific coil to optimize if it’s not one of the options provided by GBT
- Comments can be left by clicking on the comment bubble next to $/cwt
- This is the $/cwt breakdown of the chart.
- Factors in; productions costs, scrap, demand covered, firm vs. prj cost
- This is a detailed breakdown of the orders on the chart
- Specifies: purchase plan, quantity, demand, estimation on how long it will sit as a f/g
- This is the series breakdown
- Same as the order breakdown, but shows cut pattern/series
Building from Scratch
- Click on + or – to change the number of cuts
- Select ID on top, next to “Series 1 (editing)”
- OD auto calculates by default, you can manually change it by double clicking into it.
- “add series” adds a blank series
- “duplicate x2” creates a 2nd series with the same cut pattern as your first
- “duplicate x3” creates a 2nd and 3rd series with the same cut pattern as your first
- Can switch which series you are working on by clicking “edit” in the top right
- Can delete a series by clicking on the red x in the top right
- “save” your chart by clicking on confirm series
- Any chart you edit or build from scratch will be saved as an explored scenario.
- It will be on the bottom left of your dashboard under “explored scenarios”. It will be graded on the same scale as GBT’s charts.
